We are now looking for a Service Sales Account Manager to join our team in Germany, preferable close to Frankfurt.
What can you expect?
The Service Sales Strategic Account Manager is accountable for driving growth in Service sales and profitability with the assigned Accounts, towards defined short- and long-term targets, securing Vertiv is the Account’s preferred partner during the entire Product Lifecycle period.
Working together with the Strategic Account Managers, this person will manage the relationship with assigned Strategic Accounts in a long-term perspective owning the Service Account plan/reviews process and representing the company in front of the Account’s stakeholders.
He/she is responsible for implementing Service sales strategy, aligned to overall Vertiv strategy, and working with peers, local Service Organisations, and other internal functions, to exceed Customer expectations.
What you will be doing?
- Responsible for Service Sales targets for the assigned Accounts
- Manage the longer-term building and maintenance of relationships with his/her Accounts and the resulting Customer Satisfaction
- Anticipates Commercial and Technical needs, investigates underlying causes and identifies short- and longer-term solutions
- Is responsible to create and follow up Service Account Plan and Service Activity Plan. Creates and leads Service business development plans over the short to medium term
- Manage the sales of all services pillars working with Strategic Account Managers
- Work with the Sales Account Manager in charge of the Account to provide “one face to the customer” interface
- Contributes to the monitoring of the market, identify new business opportunities and propose and drive Service Action Plans.
- Ensure that any activity, task and responsibility required by is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company Code of Conduct and Trade Compliance.

In order to be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business / Technical / IT / Marketing
- Min 5 years proven track record in management of Service Sales
- Excellent Business Negotiations skills and relationship builder
- Highly developed communication skills
- Market Competitor Knowledge is a plus
- Account Management, Selling, influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work proactively under own initiative, as well as in a team environment
- Self-Starter mentality with the ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively
- Team player with the ability to organize and motivate yourself
- Strong experience in building relationships with customers
- High level of goal orientation and a solution-oriented way of thinking and acting
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Experience in working in a matrix organization with remote support teams
- Customer focused with excellent customer service skills
- Language skills: English at advanced level, German at native level
- IT literate and advanced MS Office & CRM skills
- Driving License
Working conditions :
- Regular travel is required (50%)
- Travel, occasionally requiring overnight stays
